kaminokusaki: (among flowers)

The worst part about winter is the lack of naturally-blossoming flowers. I've taken it upon myself to change that. At least here at camp. I asked my dad for some suggestions and he sent a few bulbs of three different flowers that he thought would work well in the soil here with a little help from yours truly.

Ice Age tulip

iceagetulip

Becilia tulip

beliciatulip

Bartzella peony

Right now, I've only planted them around my cabin, but if anyone wants some, let me know and I'll put some around yours or give you a bouquet.

Renji and I were talking about kissing and I was thinking I should try to with a friend. I can't with him because he's doing some experiment with Inui, so can I try with you? I'll do something in return. It's not a big deal if you say no. I'll just ask Niou or maybe Kirihara.

I am, but my dad only sent a few to see how well they would work. I had planned to ask for some more color once I knew how much effort these three took.

...
......Would you like some help with them then? Depending on which color you are wishing for, I might be able to give you some from my sunless garden.

Only if you would like to. I was thinking about a color that is similar to the ones on the tips of the Belicias and maybe something complimentary to the Bartzellas.

I'd like to if you want me to, Seiichi.

Not sure if you want those colors mixed, but if so, I have this...

[OOC: Can't remember how long Yukimura's been at the camp, but juuuuust a reminder that this particular son of Pluto can't help but be fascinated and kinder than usual to the child of Persephone, so he acts more familiar than he should. ^^;]

I won't turn down help with planting flowers.

Hmm, that feels a bit too dark. I was looking at something a bit brighter.

hellebore

(ooc: he's been there for about 5 years. and that attitude is MUCH different than what daddy dearest would prefer XD)

You and your bright colors~ ...I'm afraid I can't produce that shade in my garden currently, though. Ask me in a month again if you really want that flower. I might have something a bit lighter by then.

In the meantime, I've got some lovely Poinsettias if you want them~

[OOC: Then they've been there for about the same amount of time. I'm sure "Daddy" is not happy about how kind Chinen continues to be towards Yukimura. Pretty much the one weakness he openly shows to his father and probably one of the worst he can show, if not *the* worst. >>;;]

I can wait. In the meantime, I'll ask my dad what colors he has on hand if he does. I don't think the nursery keeps Hellebore bulbs on hand.

We should save those for decorating the main building. There's not nearly enough red there.

(ooc: probably *the* worst. good job ;p )

As much as your old man pays attention to what flowers are good for you, he sure seems ill prepared at times. Does he need help getting some Hellebore bulbs to fix that?

...Nah. You forgetting about the white Poinsettias or something? Or don't you wanna do anything with them?

[OOC: Meh. It's Chinen. The worst is perpetually his job. ...Or something. >>;]

He's only a volunteer at the nursery, so there's only so much he can do, but no, I don't think he will. The owners like us a lot, so they'll be able get some easily.

I thought the Ice Age tulips would look good set against the red Poinsettias instead of putting them with the white ones. They would be quite striking with the darker Hellebore.

You guys have been working with that nursery for quite a while, haven't you? Why are you still having so much trouble?

True, some difference would look good. I'm not sure about setting the white Poinsettias with dark Hellebore, though. White Poinsettias don't look right with a whole lot in my mind.

My dad longer than me, but yeah. Hmm, I wouldn't say we're having trouble. They just don't regularly stock plants that are rarely requested, but they've always been wonderful about getting the weird things my dad asks for.

Black roses then? ...I just like the dark/light contrast.

So why is this flower so difficult for them then? This should be something simple for them by now.

.......I did not expect you to be interested in those. Color me surprised~ I do have them, though, if you want them as a substitute.

Probably because I haven't asked for it in a really long time. I don't exactly make it easy for them.

Black flowers are prized and rare. Why wouldn't I be interested in them? I think both would be good. More is better.

Not making it easy for any of us.

They are, but they're also considered bizarre and beyond fucking weird. ...Or so people keep saying.

If everything was easy, there wouldn't be a reason to try. Besides, people can say no.

Not everyone understands their beauty. It can't be helped that they're uncultured and/or don't wish to learn about them.

Doesn't stop some people, Seiichi.

True, but isn't the point at times to make others understand? Otherwise, why bother?

I suppose not.

Only when they want to. Why waste time educating someone if they don't care?
